Questions and answers

What UGCFans makes, what a brief has to carry, which formats come out and what happens to what you write. The same questions sit on the page of the maker they belong to.

What is UGCFans?

An ad maker for short-form video and stills. You write a brief, it writes the script, casts the presenter, renders the scenes and hands back a finished cut. Six makers cover an ad, a cloned ad, a testimonial, product photos, a flyer and a campaign set of collateral.

What do I need before the first render?

A sentence about the product, a sentence about who it is for and a sentence about the offer. A product photograph or a presenter photograph helps but is optional, and the clone maker starts from a reference advertisement instead.

Does it make video and stills?

Both. Films come out as video files; stills come out as image sets. Every one of them is rendered per aspect, 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9.

How is the work metered?

Renders are metered in credits, and the balance sits in the studio's top bar while you work. The plans and what each includes are in the app, behind the sign-in.

Who owns what I make?

You do. Your briefs and renders stay in your account, and UGCFans does not publish them.

Can I use a real person, brand or competitor in a render?

Only with the right to do so. A person must have agreed to appear; a competitor's creative can be a reference for structure but not for footage; and a brand you do not own cannot be passed off as yours.

What can the studio do beyond the six makers?

Reaction ads, skits, your own footage, templates, brands, people, voices, scripts, references and the ad platforms you connect. The front page starts a maker; the studio is where a campaign lives.

How do I start?

Type into the textbox on the front page and pick a maker, or sign in and open the studio. Everything you render lands in the library, where it can be re-cut, re-rendered or exported.
