Make a set of marketing collateral
A campaign is more than one creative. This maker takes a single brief and renders a whole set of stills from it: the product plate, the offer, the presenter frame and the setting, three, six, nine or ten of them, cut for every aspect the campaign runs in.
Questions
What is in a collateral set?
A run of stills from one brief, three, six, nine or ten of them, covering the subjects the brief names: the product, the offer, the presenter, the setting. It is the campaign kit rather than a single creative.
How is this different from product photos?
Product photos are one product in many settings. A collateral set is one brief across several subjects, so it can carry a launch: a plate for the listing, a flyer for the offer and a frame for the feed.
Can a set be used across platforms?
Yes. Render the set in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 and each placement takes the cut made for it. Everything lands in the library, grouped under the brand you rendered it for.
How it works
Write the campaign brief
What is being launched, who it is for and what the offer is. One brief, written once: everything in the set is rendered from it, which is what keeps a campaign looking like one campaign.
Choose the subjects
The stills of the set cover the subjects the brief names — the product, the offer sheet, a presenter, a place. The maker’s card on the front page shows the subjects it drew for the brief it was given.
Set the count and the aspect
Three, six, nine or ten stills, in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9. Each aspect is composed for its shape, so a story and a feed square are both whole rather than cropped from one another.
Keep it together in the library
The set lands grouped under the brand it was made for, beside the films rendered from the same brief. Re-render one still, or lift it into a paid-social cut.
What the brief carries
The brief is three sentences: what the product is, who it is for and what the offer says. This maker also reads:
- The brief, in your own words: the textbox takes a full paragraph
- Stills: 3, 6, 9, 10
- The aspect: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1
What it is good for
- A launch that needs a listing plate, a feed still, a story frame and a printed sheet in one look.
- A brand whose campaign is repeated every month and has to stay recognisable.
- A small team with no studio: one brief, one afternoon, a campaign kit.
Collateral is the difference between a set of renders and a campaign. Rendering the stills and the film from one brief is what makes them read as the same advertiser.
